Who We Are
At Fresh Breath Therapy, we believe in creating a space where all people are welcome and mental health care is accessible to everyone. We are a warm, family-centered practice that encourages our clinicians to approach their work through a trauma-informed lens.
We are always looking for passionate, talented therapists to join our team across all of our North Carolina locations. We know that being a therapist is deeply rewarding, but it can also be demanding. That's why we've built a practice culture that prioritizes your well-being, autonomy, and professional growth.
Whether you are looking for a full-time home or a part-time opportunity, we provide the flexibility and support you need to do your best work.
We believe mental health care should be available to all people — and we build our practice around that commitment every day.
Our practice feels like a home. We treat our clinicians with the same warmth and care we extend to our clients.
We encourage our clinicians to approach all of their work — with clients and colleagues alike — through a trauma-informed perspective.
We are genuinely invested in your development as a clinician and as a person. This isn't just a job — it's a place to grow.
Benefits & Compensation
We want you to focus on what you do best — helping your clients. We take care of the rest by offering comprehensive support and a transparent compensation package.
We handle the administrative heavy lifting, scheduling, and billing. You just need to focus on seeing your clients and completing your clinical documentation.
Enjoy the peace of mind and stability of being an employee rather than an independent contractor. Real benefits, real security.
Transparent, flat-rate compensation per session so you always know exactly what you are earning. No surprises, no confusion.
We believe taking time to rest and recharge is essential to preventing burnout. That's why PTO is built into how we work — not just talked about.
We are invested in your clinical growth and offer financial support to help you expand your skills and advance your professional development.
You're never working in isolation here. Our team culture is built on collaboration, peer support, and genuine connection across all of our locations.
Work-Life Balance
Your schedule should work for your life. We offer true flexibility to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance — because a rested, fulfilled therapist is a better therapist.
Enjoy the best of both worlds! We require just 3 days in the office, allowing you to work from home the rest of the week.
You have the freedom to build a schedule that fits your lifestyle — morning person or night owl, we work with you.
We offer both full-time and part-time tracks to suit your current career needs and personal circumstances.
For full-time staff, we require a minimum of just 25 sessions per week — so you have the time and energy to provide quality care.
Our Practice Culture
We've built a practice culture that prioritizes your well-being, autonomy, and professional growth — because we believe that when our clinicians feel supported and valued, our clients receive the best possible care.
We are a practice that walks the talk. The same values of compassion, accessibility, and trauma-informed care that guide our client work shape every aspect of how we operate as an organization — including how we treat the people who work here.
We hold a high standard for clinical quality and support our team in meeting it with training, supervision, and resources.
Our practice is a welcoming space for clients and clinicians of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Empathy and kindness aren't just clinical tools here — they're how we treat each other as colleagues and teammates.
We believe in honoring every client's story and autonomy — and that principle extends to how we honor our clinicians' voices too.
Ideal Candidates
We are looking for dedicated clinicians who share our values of accessibility, family-centered care, and trauma-informed practice.
We welcome therapists at all career stages — from experienced licensed clinicians to newer associates who are eager to grow. What matters most to us is a shared commitment to compassionate, accessible care and a genuine desire to be part of a supportive, collaborative team.
Active Licensure Required — An active North Carolina clinical license is required to join our team. We accept LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHCA, LMFT, LMFTA, and related licensures.
Associates Welcome — We love helping newer clinicians grow! Associate-level therapists are highly encouraged to apply. We provide the supervision and support you need to thrive.
Shared Values — You believe in accessible, trauma-informed, family-centered care — and you bring that ethos to your clinical work every day.
Team Player — You're collaborative, communicative, and genuinely want to be part of a supportive, inclusive practice community.
