Lisa McCormick, LCMHC
My name is Lisa and I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I received my Masters Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2021 at Fort Hays State University. I am passionate about providing clients with the tools that they need so they can feel independent and empowered. I assist clients with navigating challenges that are difficult due to overwhelming worry, fear, and trauma. I use integrated cognitive behavioral techniques, mindfulness practices, and personalized coping strategies to manage their struggles effectively so that they can live a fulfilling life.
I choose to use a range of modalities to provide a client-centered approach to help individuals recognize how traumatic experiences can shape their lives. I prioritize building trust and providing clients with a safe space to explore past experiences, working collaboratively with clients to develop coping mechanisms to function on a day to day basis in order to promote healing and autonomy.
It is important to meet with clients where they are in their struggles by navigating this journey with them and providing adequate care to assist them with managing the areas that they find to be difficult. I work with kids, adolescents, teens, and adults in order to help them discover a healthier version of themselves.
